Our Young Entrepreneurs camp gives many middle school students the opportunity to expand their learning. We provide students with 4 lessons throughout the camp, on entrepreneurship and give students some fun activities to do. SMOA will support the financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills of 30 4-7th graders in Harlem/ the South Bronx.

Our 4 lessons teach students about managing money, investment, entrepreneurship and pitching an idea. We keep middle school students engaged throughout each lesson and provide them real life scenarios to work though.
Specifically, students will:
Our youth leaders, in 9th-12th grade and currently SMOA tutors & officers, will lead groups of 3-5 students throughout this seminar and serve as mentors and discussion leaders. These guides will guide discussions while still allowing students to discover new skills. We will supplement these in-person sessions with free virtual programming and fun assessments to understand the impact of our sessions.
